The Fine Print, In Plain Language

Terms of Use

The terms that govern your use of eltaxbar.com and the information and tools it provides.

Effective October 1, 2026

These terms explain what this website is, what it is not, and the limits of the information and tools provided here. Please read them alongside our Privacy Notice and Legal Disclaimer.

01

Acceptance of These Terms

By using eltaxbar.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. Express Lane Tax Bar LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) may update these terms from time to time; the version posted on this page governs your use of the Site.

02

What This Website Is — and Is Not

This Site provides general educational information about IRS and state tax problems and the resolution services offered by Express Lane Tax Bar LLC. It is provided for informational purposes only.

Using this Site, submitting a request form, uploading a notice, or using any tool on this Site does not create a client relationship between you and Express Lane Tax Bar LLC. A client relationship begins only when we agree in writing to provide services to you.

03

No Legal, Tax, or Financial Advice

Nothing on this Site is legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, or financial advice, and nothing here should be relied upon as a substitute for advice about your specific situation. Tax outcomes depend on your individual facts, your filing history, and the discretion of the IRS or state tax authority.

General descriptions of IRS programs — such as installment agreements, offers in compromise, penalty relief, or currently-not-collectible status — describe possibilities, not promises. Eligibility is determined by the taxing authority, not by us.

04

Automated Explanation Tools

This Site offers automated tools that explain IRS notices in plain language and suggest which of our services may fit a situation you describe. These tools are educational aids only. They may be incomplete or inaccurate, they do not review your full circumstances, and their output is not advice of any kind.

Always confirm deadlines, amounts, and response requirements directly from your actual IRS or state notice, and discuss your situation with a qualified professional before acting. Deadlines on IRS notices are strict — if a notice gives you a deadline, do not wait for any tool or callback to respond to it.

05

Your Submissions

When you submit a request form, describe a tax problem, or upload a notice, you confirm that the information is yours to share and is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Please do not submit information belonging to someone else without their permission.

Do not upload or send full Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or other highly sensitive identifiers through the Site unless we have asked for them and confirmed a secure way to receive them.

06

Intellectual Property

The content, design, text, and branding of this Site belong to Express Lane Tax Bar LLC and may not be copied, reproduced, or reused without our written permission, except for your personal, non-commercial use.

07

Limitation of Liability

The Site and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Express Lane Tax Bar LLC is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this Site or reliance on any information or tool output provided here.

08

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from your use of this Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina.
